1.What is eyelash extensions?


Eyelash extensions is a technique used to lengthen and thicken the lashes, making them look naturally. There are three main techniques of eyelash extensions. The first one is a classic technique in which one lash extension is applied to one natural lash. There are three lash thickness options : 0.1, 0.12, 0.15 mm. The other is Russian volume eyelash extensions. This technique requires skill and experience as a freshly made fan of 2 – 10 silky fine and lightweight lashes is attached seamlessly to 1 natural lash. The extensions will hug around the natural lash, creating a strong bond and fuller look. You can feel totally weightless as well. The last one is 2D or Hybrid. This is a combination of the two mentioned techniques but take less time.


2.Can eyelash extensions damage your natural lashes?


The answer is no as long as the lash extensions are applied correctly and not pulled out. Clients will be consulted the appropriate lash extension style based on their natural condition of lashes including thickness, health, and length. After the consultation, lash extensions will be applied correctly and properly so that they won’t affect the lashes’ health. However, clients should not rub their eyes or pull on the extensions because it can cause damage to the lashes.



Eyelash extensions can’t damage your natural lashes

1.How long do lash extensions last?


The lash extensions can last from 2 to 5 weeks, depending on many factors such as: proper aftercare, proper preparation, and proper application. Also, lash extensions are semi-permanent so refills must be applied when natural lashes grow and shed at their own pace. You need to get them filled every 2-4 weeks.


2.Why do I need infills?


Due to the life circle of lashes, you can lose between 2-5 lashes everyday. So on average in 21 days, you would have lost up to 60 lashes before new lashes are produced. Therefore, you need infills every 2-4 weeks to maintain the beautiful look. Usually it takes an hour and does not require as much effort as the full application. Also, people who tend to be more active will have healthier lashes.


3.Does it cause any allergic reaction?


For those who have never had eyelash extensions before, the patch testing is required 24 hours before application. By applying some extensions on your outer lashes on each eye, you will know if there is any allergic reaction such as itching, swelling, blistering, and redness. The other concern is about product’s quality. All the products and equipment are from the most famous brands in the industry with ISO approved. So clients will be assured that the quality standard is at its highest. 


4.How can lash extensions be removed?


When you want to remove your lash extensions, please do not try to do it yourself. Because you might pull out your natural lashes. We will help you remove it without damaging your natural lashes by applying a special gel onto the extensions to weaken the bond of the glue. 


5.How to clean lash extensions?


If you want to wash them, use an oil-free cleanser. Using baby shampoo diluted in water is a good idea. You can put one tablespoon of baby shampoo in one cup of distilled water. Then pour the solution into a foam bottle and make sure it's mixed well. Afterwards, gently cleanse the lashes using a clean mascara wand and gently comb through your lashes. Lastly, rinse your lashes and pat dry.

In addition, make sure you don’t rub or wipe them. Your should cleanse your lash extensions a couple of times per week and brush them every day using a lash brush and lash cleanser. If they are not cleaned properly, dirt, oil, makeup will make extensions stick together which make your pores blocked, and there is no place for new lashes come out.

1.What are things that affect the longevity of eyelash extensions?


You can shorten the life of your lash extensions if you don’t follow the aftercare instructions. Using products that contain oils such as moisturiser, sunscreen, liquid eyeliner on or around the eye area can affect the longevity of them too. Other things are swimming, sunbathing, steam or sauna without using goggles, using a hair dryer near the eye area or taking antibiotics or medical treatment while their eyelashes have been extended. Also, sleeping on your face and not cleaning your lash extensions do not help them last long as well.

2.How to prepare your first eyelash extension?


Before getting your eyelash extensions done, please do not wear eye makeup, especially mascara, because it will take more time to remove your makeup and then apply your lash extensions. Also, fee will be charged for eye makeup removal. Please do not wear contact lenses during the procedure, do not drink coffee, tea, energy drinks for at least 2 hours prior to the appointment. In addition, make sure you arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment, take some time to relax and ensure sufficient time for quality results.


  3.How to take care of your eyelash extensions?


After the application is done, try not to touch them much, particularly during the first few hours. If possible, keep them dry for at least 24-36 hours. That means you should not wash your hair during this time. However, if you need to, use only lukewarm water and make sure to keep water off your eyes. You should also avoid steamy environments for 24 hours as a minimum.

After the 24 hour mark, they are technically waterproof, however, you should still avoid swimming or sitting in a hot spa if you want them to last long. In addition, if you have an oily face, using blotting papers, mattifying lotions or oil-control moisturizer to control it. Also, clean them properly, at least a few times a week.

Remember not to play with or pick at your lashes, rub your eyes roughly can really damage your natural lashes. Don’t use oily products on your eyes or face. Try to avoid mascara when you do makeup and don’t try to remove them yourself. Also, if you want to maintain your lashes, you will need infills between 2-4 weeks.
